Every person and every place has an essence which is unique to them. Photography has the power to capture that essence and preserve it forever. This is the quest I am on whenever I pick up my camera.
I particularly enjoy candid images that are blunt, outspoken, sincere, straightforward, truthful, unbiased, unequivocal, and unapologetic. Candid images can be taken of both people and places; the key distinction is that they are not staged. Even if somebody is intentionally present to have their photographs taken, there is a difference between just standing in front of a camera and having your personality captured in a photograph. This is the photographer's job and a passion of mine.
